About The Artist
Andreas Gursky is a German photographer who was born in Leipzig in 1955 and is one of the leading contemporary artists in his field. He is known for his large-format, often digital photographs depicting themes such as globalization, consumerism, and architecture. After studying under Bernd and Hilla Becher at the Düsseldorf Art Academy, he himself became a professor at the academy and has held numerous exhibitions worldwide.
